On Monday, Ap. 25, the Labor Forum on WRFG 89.3FM will speak with organizers of the upcoming May Day Festival on Sunday, May 1 to hear about the purpose of the event and some details of what will be taking place. This information will be presented from 4:15-4:30pm.
Dawn O’Neal and Annette Taylor, active members of Rise Up, the grassroots community group that has been in the forefront of organizing against the police murder of Anthony Hill and empowering low-wage workers, will talk about why they mobilized people to protest the white supremacist rally at Stone Mountain this past week-end. During the 4:30-5pm segment, they will also critique the coverage of the event by corporate media that dwelt on so-called “violence” by anti-racist protesters while dismissing the crimes of the KKK and the threatening presence of hundreds of fully-equipped riot and SWAT forces. The Labor Forum airs every Monday from 4-5pm on WRFG 89.3FM. For additional information, see http://www.wrfglaborforum.org
